X-CR Tabletop

Digital radiography with image plates

X-CR Tabletop

EXAMION image plate systems (also known as CR systems) are ideal entry-level models or reserve devices, as they offer a cost-optimised route to digital X-rays. The principle of image plate systems is that X-ray images are created in two stages. After the image plate has been exposed by the radiation source, the CR cassette is placed in the scanner where it is read out. Only at this point does the digital X-ray image appear in the viewer.

Our EXAMION X-AQS software has a special image plate scanner mode. Press the start button in the software to start the readout process. Images can be enhanced and evaluated in the same way and with full functionality as in our standard software version.
If you later decide to switch from an image plate system to a detector system, the software is operated in almost exactly the same way, aside from a few points, meaning that no training phase is required.

Our product portfolio contains a range of image plate systems. We are happy to advise you on the specific solution that best suits you and your needs.

  • Can be combined with all static, mobile and portable X-ray devices
  • Images are taken in two steps: After the simple X-ray image is taken, the readout is a separate process
  • Spare device: If the standard X-ray system is out of action, the CR system is a cost-effective and space-saving replacement device.

Questions and Answers

As a PACS manufacturer, we specialise in image management of radiological images. Our many years of experience in the X-ray business mean we can offer a one-stop portfolio, from consulting to planning and setup of the entire X-ray room through to image distribution. As such, our staff can provide the best information on our digital X-ray systems and give you appropriate upgrading advice, but also help you quickly and smoothly if there is a malfunction.

We cannot give a general answer without seeing the unit. Depending on the X-ray system, we are able to carry out maintenance and repairs or get an X-ray device up and running again. This has to be checked on an individual basis. Our staff are happy to help. Email us (vertrieb@examion.com) or contact your sales representative directly.
