EXAMION expands its veterinary business in Europe
Fellbach (Germany) / Andenne (Belgium), May 2026 – EXAMION, a specialist in digital X-ray technology for human and veterinary medicine, is expanding its veterinary business in Europe. The integration of the Belgian company Vet X strengthens the company’s presence in the BeNeLux region and France and supports its continued growth beyond DACH.
Veterinary practices are facing increasing demands: faster diagnostics, more efficient workflows, and greater flexibility in treating animals both in-clinic and on site. Digital imaging and advanced diagnostic solutions such as ultrasound and endoscopy have become a key factor in meeting these challenges.
Earlier this year, the Belgian company Vet X was fully integrated into the German medical technology company EXAMION and now operates as EXAMION GmbH – Center BeNeLux. The Belgian site in Andenne serves as a regional hub for customers in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and France.
With the integration of Vet X, EXAMION is further expanding its regional presence and entering neighboring markets. The existing team in Belgium remains in place and has been further reinforced, particularly in technical service. “All employees have been retained, and we have expanded our service capabilities in the region,” says Bernd Schleicher, Managing Director of EXAMION GmbH. “This integration is an important step in expanding our veterinary business in Europe and strengthening our presence in key markets.”

Systems such as the X-DRS VET Smart illustrate this: a compact, integrated X-ray system that combines all components in one unit and allows veterinarians to manage the entire imaging process directly at the patient. Veterinary-specific image processing supports clear and reliable diagnostics.
For mobile use cases, particularly in equine medicine, the X-DR Portable Solution M+ Equine enables high-quality imaging during home visits with a glass-free and therefore particularly robust X-ray detector. This reduces stress for animals, avoids unnecessary transport, and helps streamline clinical workflows.
In addition, EXAMION offers dedicated dental imaging solutions, including digital sensors that enable fast image acquisition without additional scanning steps and support efficient workflows in small animal practices. These examples represent only part of EXAMION’s broader portfolio of imaging solutions for veterinary applications.
