Future of Carestream Service secured!
EXAMION takes over the service for Carestream X-ray systems
Fellbach, June 23, 2020 – From July 1, 2020, Carestream Health Germany puts technical service and customer care into the hands of EXAMION. The Fellbach company has been involved in the sale of parts of the Carestream portfolio as a reliable partner company for more than 15 years. The existing areas of responsibility and activity will be continued and expanded by the team that is already known in the market.
With the acquisition of the Medical Imaging Services division of Carestream, EXAMION is gaining approx. 20 experienced specialists and will therefore expand its German staff to a total of more than 100 employees. “We will strengthen the service team and significantly expand our competencies. With this broad basis, we strive for continuous optimization focusing on excellent customer service and customer satisfaction,” emphasizes Bernhard Schleicher, Managing Director of EXAMION GmbH.
Last year, Carestream decided to discontinue direct sales of radiography products in Germany and, overall, direct customer support in Germany with the sale of the Service division. “By taking over the service business, we are securing the long-term future of the operation of Carestream X-ray systems throughout Germany and providing users with the necessary planning security,” says Bernhard Schleicher. “Furthermore, this acquisition is in line with our strategy to further develop EXAMION's operations in the hospital market.” The owner-managed company from Fellbach is now taking over responsibility for servicing almost 1,000 X-ray and imaging systems in over 400 hospitals and clinics. For the 2020/2021 financial year, sales of over 50 million euros are expected in Germany.
EXAMION GmbH is sharpening its profile as a full-service provider that, in addition to solutions for digital radiography, offers a comprehensive product portfolio of solutions for fluoroscopy, mammography, therapy and digital image processing. Bernhard Schleicher said: “We want to be able to offer our customers everything from a single source as well as the essential services – from project planning/control to individual financing solutions and excellent customer service. By signing the contract in recent days we have taken an important step along this path and are looking forward to new prospects and satisfied customers.”
